Not all things in life can be anticipated, and the experience of this drawing took me by surprise. At the beginning of 2003, I received this intuitive drawing. I remember looking down in total disbelief at the image which I had “accidentally” drawn while I was connected to a feeling of deep peace and serenity. I suddenly heard, or should I say felt, the words “The Universe is infinitely nurturing” unfold from within me.
This statement about a nurturing universe was not a reflection of my life experience at the time. In fact, it was a challenge to all that I held true. The whole experience was confusing, and it left me with more questions than answers.
To feel whole one has to nurture the inner child, just like a mother lovingly tends to the needs of her young child. This restores the inner child to its natural state of innocence so that it can be a resource within.
But in the context of the word “universe”, I understand that it is evoking a universal, rather than an individual, community or global application. The universe is commonly defined as the totality of existence, including all planets, stars, galaxies, the content of intergalactic space and all matter and energy. The observable universe alone is estimated to be 46 billion light years in radius. The claim that the universe is infinitely nurturing is, therefore, immense.
From this, I concluded that I was being challenged to explore the relationship between creation and the creator. Do you experience this relationship as nurturing? I would welcome to hear your thoughts on this experience.
